schleich® is a company with the highest focus on kids' safety. All schleich® products are manufactured of various plastics and paints which comply with the Toy Industry's rules and regulations in more than 60 countries.
More specifically, our products (including all materials and chemical components) comply with all Rules, Bans, Standards or Regulations applicable under the CPSIA or any other act enforceable by the CPSIA including: ASTMF 963-16; Illinois State Public Act 097-0612; US California Prop 65. The main types of plastic we use include polyvinyl chloride (PVC), thermoplastic elastomers (TPE), acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), and additional plastics that are typically used in toys. Our material suppliers are subject to strict quality controls.
The paints used in each case are adapted to the various types of plastic, and feature extremely high mechanical and chemical resistance. They ensure schleich® products are long lasting – and above all, resistant to biting, scratching and saliva, and that they are completely harmless for children aged 3+ to play with.
A product is only released for production once all laws, standards and directives are complied with across all countries where Schleich products are distributed.
